Sunset at Tanah Lot

It is a sight to behold.

No wonder tourists flock here in droves every evening.

Idol worship

An idol considering its offering of rice and flowers.

In an attempt to meet the demands of the tourism industry, some of these carved idols are made of inferior wood.

It's difficult for the untrained eye to tell the difference.

Kintamani touts
It was misty and cold in the town of Kintamani, due to the high altitude.

These women implore you to buy their low quality T-shirts with their chorus of sad voices.

I've edited the photograph to make the trio visible in the heavy mist.

House in the rain

View out of the rain-splattered window.

The rain dampened our spirits.
We snoozed our way back to Kuta from Ubud.

Profile of our chauffeur

Nothing really special about this photograph, except that I was bored.

Lake Beratan

Moody and cold.

Encased in silence.

Stony beauty queens.

Woman with basket

Posing for photographs is all in a day's work.

At age 4, this woman, like other balinese girls, was trained to carry baskets on her head.

Road Offering

To an unknown god.

The sunset and rainy window pic are really quite good.

I love it when I can take my rebel off of "auto" mode! Though, that doesn't happen much.
