Impressions of Bali

My maiden attempt with manual mode of a SLR camera.

Hope you like them.
o Stickbabe o

Mother and child at Tanah Lot
A stolen moment from a mother and child, spending time together, watching the beautiful sunset.

I happened to chance on them while following Stickman down a trail. It was a heartwarming sight and I was glad the photograph turned out well.

Lake Beratan

These flowers wake up to a beautiful view of Lake Beratan in Bedugul.
One could enter easily into a yoga trance here.

Children at playground
This looks like a hybrid of a swing and seesaw.
Do you see Stickman in the background?

Child touts
Young children like these earn their keep by pestering tourists to buy their postcards.
Here they pose cheekily for me, but when they approach you for a sale, they adopt sad, haunted expressions.
I can't help but compare them to spoiled and lethargic Singaporean children.

Beast's soft side

Spotted in an Ubud art gallery.

Smile for the camera.

Dancing in Ramayana
Dancing in mid-air.

These tiny pair of orchid sisters live in the hotel we stayed in.

Bali 2006 [taken by Stickman]

The first step to making batik is the waxing process.
The wax design will stay until I wash it in hot water.

Pull the line!

Parasailing is fun!

At Nusa Dua, Stickman gets airborne on the sail top left.
A man waves a blue flag to signal him to start yanking hard on the right cable.
